Last Thursday, Mayor Bruno Marchand announced an increase in the value of the real estate portfolio, which has risen to 23.5% on average.
“It created a craze in terms of asking: ‘how much is my house worth?'” explained Re/Max real estate broker Patricia Deguara.
However, the real estate broker believes that this increase is “completely normal” and that the region’s real estate market is ready to absorb it.
“When we talk about an increase in the average value of a house to $385,000, Quebec is a very stable market,” she said.
